What cookies are

Small text files a site stores on your device to keep information about your browsing. They can be technical (needed for the site to work) or require your consent, such as statistics or profiling cookies.

Technical cookies

Needed for the site to work: preferences, anti-fraud nonce and the chat sign-in session. The session cookie is HttpOnly, is not readable by JavaScript and expires after 7 days. These cookies need no consent under art. 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.

Analytics cookies

With your consent ("Accept all") we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, for aggregate statistics about site usage and consultation requests. It sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies for at most 2 years. We do not use it for advertising, remarketing or advertising profiling; Google Analytics does not log or store the full IP address of EU visitors. Data is retained for 2 months. Without consent Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is sent to Google. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, uses no other device storage and does not identify individual visitors.

Third-party services

Google Identity Services may use cookies or equivalent technologies during sign-in; Cal.com handles call bookings and Cloudflare handles hosting, security and session. Every page also loads typefaces from Google Fonts, and the home page some icons from cdn.simpleicons.org: they set no cookies, but they receive the IP address needed to deliver those files. See their own notices for details.

How to manage them

You can accept or refuse analytics cookies in the banner, close it with the "X" (which counts as a refusal) and change your choice at any time through "Review your cookie choices" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted. Your choice is stored on your device and you will not be asked again for 6 months, unless the notice changes significantly. You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings.
